I've never really drawn ferrets before, so I decided to try it!

I noticed the poster at work and after talking to some very wonderful ferret people I decided to do up a piece for them to use. I don't know if it will go as a door prize or an auction piece, but either way I love to lend a hand for the critters!

The ball was inspired by some great little ferret toys I picked up for the ratties. They're much tougher than most cat toys and make different sounds when they roll or shake them. Eve loves to organize her little pile of them! LOL!

I'm not sure what colour this little ferret is called... I just followed the basic pattern and let the colour shift as it wanted to. I also don't have any experience sexing ferrets -all sorts of other small mammals, but not ferrets- so I left that part up to the imagination, LOL! it's not incredibly realistic so I don't think it matters. I just don't know whether to call it a he or a she when I refer to it!

Always remember to do your research before bringing home any pet! Rescue groups are a great source for making sure you get the real facts, and not just the propaganda. That, and they just plain rule!
